Welcome to ProfitApp ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ProfitApp (the "App").
By using ProfitApp, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide to Us
Account Information
- Email address (for account creation and login)
- Name (optional, for personalization)
- Password (encrypted and securely stored)
Job and Earnings Data
- Job details (platform, earnings, distance, time)
- Expense information (fuel, maintenance, tolls)
- CSV files you import (Uber, DoorDash, Instacart, etc.)

1.2 Information Collected Automatically
Location Data
- GPS coordinates during job tracking

- Start and end locations for jobs
- Background location (only when actively tracking a job)

1.3 Information from Third-Party Services
Authentication Providers

1.4 In-App Purchase Data
When you purchase or manage a ProfitApp Pro subscription, we receive limited transaction information from Apple's StoreKit and the App Store Server API. This data is necessary to deliver and maintain your subscription entitlement.
What we receive from Apple
- Transaction identifier and original transaction identifier
- Product identifier (Monthly or Annual subscription)
- Purchase date and subscription expiration date
- Subscription status (active, expired, in free trial, in billing retry, or cancelled)
What we store
- An entitlement record in Firebase Cloud Firestore, keyed to your account, that reflects your current subscription status and expiration date
- Server-side receipt validation results returned by the App Store Server API, stored as part of the entitlement record
What we do NOT collect or store
- Payment method details, credit or debit card numbers, or card expiration dates
- Billing addresses or other billing contact information
- Your Apple ID password or any Apple account credentials
All payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple. Apple's privacy practices govern any payment information you provide to them — see the Apple Privacy Policy for details. Subscription notifications from Apple (renewals, cancellations, refunds, billing retries) are received server-side and used to update our entitlement record. 2. How We Use Your Information

- Job Tracking: Record and track your gig work jobs with GPS-enabled mileage logging
- Profitability Calculations: Calculate earnings, expenses, and profit margins
- Analytics: Generate reports and insights about your gig work performance
- Data Sync: Synchronize your data across devices using Firebase
- CSV Import: Process and import earnings data from gig platforms

- Delete Your Data: Delete your entire account and all associated data

5.2 Location Data Control
You can control location access:
- Enable/disable location services in iOS Settings
- Choose "While Using App" or "Always" permission
- Stop job tracking at any time to stop location collection
5.3 California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete, and the right to opt-out of sale. Note: We do not sell personal information.
5.4 European Privacy Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under GDPR including the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and to object to processing.
6. Children's Privacy
ProfitApp is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time.
8. International Data Transfers
If you are located outside the United States, please be aware that information we collect will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your country of residence.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
